Tried tons of stuff, including resetting headset. It would connect the wireless, but then within 10 seconds would again say "headset not detected". I tried different pairing modes (settings on wireless) and even paired a new device several times. Finally when I did get it to stay on, it would give me the same "headset not detected" error. Then again, I took me forever to get the battery to turn on and stay on when connected. In one attempt to fix I powered the computer on and off. The battery would still be on, as well as the headset, but it would say "headset not detected" in spite of the wireless signal being good and connected. for about 20 seconds before the headset would go blank. After trying various fixes, I was able to get the battery and adapter to come on, and it would connect and the whole VR would work. Even after clicking on the battery power button, it would go off (light would go out) on it's own within a few seconds. Then suddenly, after using it for about 4 hours today (I have 3 batteries), the battery connected the the wireless adapter would not power on (or power the headset on). What's strange is that it has worked for weeks using all the right cords. Fuck HTC.Īlso, HTC's wireless solution only supports Intel CPU's. So the problem was resolved, and I have no fucking clue how to solve it for next time it happens.Ĭan't even help anyone with the same problem because of how little information they communicate. The frustrating part is I don't know if it was the Pro or the Wireless that was faulty, or if it was the cable or not, because support still would not tell me if they used my cable or one they had lying around. When the Wireless and the Pro came back, it actually did display an image. Update 2: So my Vive Pro broke and I had to send that in for repairs. I'm just going to demand a fucking new cable so then I know for certain that is or isn't the issue. I am so fucking pissed, because I had to wait a literal month for the stock to come back to get the thing in the first place. I just spent 2 fucking weeks wasting my time with their shitty support system. The thing literally just said no fault was found and no replacement would be issued. A report that doesn't include what procedures they used, or how they tackled the problem. The unit still has the exact same issues and apparently a 'report' was sent to me saying no fault was found. Update: After 2 fucking weeks of constantly contacting support on updates of my wireless adaptor, the whole thing returned to me and nothing was fixed. It seems that power is being applied to the headset just fine, and that the wireless adaptor seems to be working in regards to being noticed by sensor camera (I can see how many bars of connectivity it has), but they don't seem to know how to work together to work with Steam VR and give me an image. Tried again with completely full battery charge. Using the long cable that came with the Vive Pro instead of the short cable provided with the Pro kit. Going back to the link box with the long cable still works though. Wireless software claims headset is paired and connected, but cannot be detected. Steam VR says not ready and cannot detect headset. Restarted computer, plugged in base stations and started Steam VR. Paired wireless headset with software provided. Installed the card and connected everything as instructed. Official Vive Wireless (not TPCAST) with Pro adaptor arrived today. I'm wondering if anyone can help troubleshoot my Vive Pro wireless issues.
